You texted me a link to write a review, but honest-1ly thought better of having it posted public on your website. I called 1st thing Tuesday 03sep24 after the Labor day weekend, provided honest1 auto care with a diagnosis of the issue and provided the correct alternator part to install which you installed - Considered one of the simplest of jobs on an older vehicle (85 CJ7), easily accessible replacement unlike modern engine compartments. The upper alternator bolt had sheered on the mount so had to be removed with a vise grip but worked out ok. I am happy with the quick turnaround and the work performed but unhappy with the $404.05 bill at $200 per hour x less than 2 hour work effort. When did mechanics start getting Doctor/Lawyer billable rates? With those kinds of labor rates I would honestly never consider returning to honest1 for any future/more intensive auto issues on any of my vehicles or recommend their services to anyone. Regards, James
Hi James- Thank you for giving us a try and for taking time to leave us feedback. We’re very sorry you didn’t think our service was a good value. We firmly stand behind our prices and in most cases can meet or beat any apples to apples competitor quotes. Please note, that the upper alternator bolt was broken off flush when you brought the vehicle to us and we had to drill it out and extract the bolt. This isn't a 5 minute job with a pliers or we would have just done it for you. We stand behind all our work and recommendations with a 3 year/36k mile warranty, complimentary roadside assistance, and offer free loaner cars. Thank you and have a great day!
